Mandys Creations!

With all the helping Auntie Mandy somehow managed to finish two of her own pumpkins.

Isn't she creative!

Kenny's First Pumpkin Expereince

Auntie Mandy brought over two of her pumpkins, and came to help the girls carve out thier pumpkins.

Kenny is not really sure about this new expereince. He is working with Mandy to take all the seeds out of her pumpkin. He wasn't really sure he wanted to touch all that stickly slimy stuff, but he did finally get his hands into it and helped a little.

Family Party

We had some family arrived a few days before the wedding.

The day before the wedding on August 31, we had about 40 people for the family dinner. We all piled into the white church. we rented a giant BBQ from the town, and cooked food for everyone.

Kenny sits beside Auntie Mandy and Daddy, enjoying his cake.

Great Grandma Spiers, and Great Grandma Moore were both here from Ontario for the special event.

Grandma Moore enjoys Magrath, and the family here, that she has decided to make Magrath a permanant home. We are all happy to have more family decide to live out here!

Uncle Shawn flew in for a week and also had a chance to visit Magrath. It was great to see him again, and we all miss him.

Uncle Andrew, Nana Shortt, and Gramps also flew in for the wedding from Ontario. It was a quick trip for them. And we also were sad to see them leave.

Daddy's 30 NOW!

Daddy had his 30th Birthday. He was surprised to recieve the 10 inch sliding chop saw with lazer. Thanks to his parents. Now he will be able to do the crown molding a trim in the house, and make the bunk beds for the kids.

It was nice to have everyone fit at the same table. Nana, Grandpa, and Auntie Mandy all had a spot to sit.

Daddy blew out the candles on a chocolate cake that Mandy brought over, but ate his favourate, carrot cake. He was so lucky to have a cake at all.

He thought because Mommy had been sick that he wasn't going to have a cake, so he actually started making his own.

Unfortunitly Mommy wasn't feeling up to going to Lethbridge before his birthday, that she didn't even have a gift for him.

But the girls had some gifts that they were happy to show off!!

Sorry Daddy! but we all still love you!!
Happy Birthday

Out goes the carpet

We again invit some friends over, and they help us take out the carpet. We had to move the furniture all around, but its done and gone. Auntie Mandy also came by and helped.

Here Kenny is again helping. He helped roll up the carpet, and then helped drag the foam out to the trailer. The girls were in bed and needed to stay out of the rooms till we got all the tack strips up.

It was a hot day on Monday and Daddy decided to cool the kids off with a few water balloons. Then the girls decided that water felt so good that they wanted the sprinkler on. Mandy saw the sprinkler, and invited the girls over for a swim. The pool was cool, but all the girls had fun.

They Finished HIGH SCHOOL!!!

We are so proud of our Daddy and Auntie Mandy! They both decided to complete their grade 12. They bought the books, and spent six weeks working very very hard to complete a refresher course. They then wrote the exam, and both passed.

Ken passed with flying colours!! Each subject is marked out of 800. Included is the % rank - it is the % of people out of 100 who achieved a passing mark equal or lower then Kens.

Language Arts, Reading - 800 - 99%
Language Arts, Writing - 650 - 88%
Mathematics - 570 - 75%
Science - 680 - 99%
Social Studies - 620 - 83%

We are all so happy to see them both do such a good job, we even decided to celebrate with an old fashioned surprise party complete with friends, family, food, and cake! We had about 35 people drop in and wish the two of the best of luck, and show their support!

Christmas Morning!

We got up early and quickly called "Auntie Mandy" to come over. Our stockings were full of Shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, candy, tights/socks, etc. We all sat down on the floor, and Daddy passed out the presents. We had lots of fun, and received lots of great things we needed, and wanted.

Santa (Grandpa Moore), Nana, and Uncle James also stopped by. They also gave out presents, and even posed for some pictures. Everyone had a turn sitting on Santa's lap. Kenny was afraid, and wouldn't go near him, amazing what terror a beard and red suit can cause in young children.

We spent the afternoon outside. We had a chance to try out many of our new Christmas Presesnts. Sarah wore her roller bades, Courtney tried out her Scooter, Nicole just enjoyed the warm spring jacket weather, and Kenny's sled was not able to be tested out, but he did enoy the sun. Daddy even came out in his T-shirt. No White Christmas again this year.

Even Missy enjoyed her Chrismtas. Yummy!

We also spent a wonderful evening at the Moores house. we have tones of wonderful food, and socializing. It was a great Christmas!

Halloween was fun for whole Family!

We had a wonderful Halloween this year. We spent the day carving pumpkins, and getting ready. Courtney was a dinosaur, Nicole a strawberry ice cream cone, Kenny was a gift wrap bag, Sarah was a box of Crayons, Mommy a cat, Daddy a soldier (complete with Airsoft gun), and Auntie Mandy was a devil.
It was a windy night, but as a family , we went out knocking on doors. Mandy stayed at our house to give out the candy. We gave up after about 30 minutes, and decided to drive to Nana and Grandpa Moores.
We saw so many cars driving and droping off people last night. Most people drive from house to house here, giving the kids a break from walking from house to house, and making sure you hit all the houses of people you know.
Our family had a great time, and now have tons of candy to eat! Yumm!!

We are taking a moment at the Birds of Prey Center to feed the "CRAZY" ducks.

The girls are on the picnic table, out of fear. But the end, Sarah was running with them and trying to herd them places. Posted by Picasa

Courtney is someone we can always count on to make us laugh. Her smile (and tongue) is quick to show us the lighter side of things! Here she is sitting with her Auntie Mandy. We are so hapy to have Mandy living out here in Magrath too. Its wonderful to have her around! Posted by Hello
