Friends in Ontario

We had tons of friends that made it a point to come out and see us while we were out visiting.

More people then we could count.

Kelly woke up early to catch us in Sudbury. It was a quick but great visit!

We also went to play zone. It was great, tons of friends came, and we all played.
Hicks, Lightfoot's, Roberton, Lee's

One sunday the Holley's came and their kids put on a play with our kids. They did a great job, and it was fun to watch!

All around it was wonderful to visit with everyone!

We decided to do some demolition in our house to make more space. Ken started by taking out all the live wiring. Including the 2nd light switch for the dining room, and the kitchen. He also removed an outlet, and phone jack.
Kenny helped Daddy remove one part of the wall that leads to the bathroom and bedrooms.
The Thomson Family came over to eat supper and help take this entire wall down. Brother Thomson helped with the removal of the cabinets, and then the kids took over with hammers to remove all the drywall. Then down came the studs.

This is now the view from our bedroom into the kitchen. The cabinets will all go back on the wall at the left side of this picture. It has opened an amazing amount of space and now we can all eat in the kitchen (including the new baby when it comes), and have enough room for company to eat with the family too!!

Stay tuned for more pictures as we progress.

Happy Belated Birthday Nicole!

Nicole was looking forward for her fourth birthday!

She had a great time, opening presents from the family, on Mommy and Daddy's bed. She opened new outfits, cats that dance, and a blow up "Dora the Explorer" bed for her to enjoy at campouts and bedroom parties.

She wanted a friend birthday party, so she invited her friends Jessie Thomson, and Desanna Holthe to come. They had fun playing games, eating treats, and making butterfly crafts.

Make a wish and blow out the candles on your butterfly birthday cake!

New Years Eve!

New years Eve was celebrated in Ontario Time at our house! It was great to play some games, then gather some noisy toys, and then watching the countdown in Niagara Falls. The kids all banged, shouted, and celebrated at 10:00pm. We even had an extra kid with us, and he had fun celebrating with us too. After our party, the kids went to bed.

Mommy tried to stay awake to the Alberta New Year, but fell asleep, and was woken up by Daddy at Midnight, and sent to bed.

Happy New Year... Whatever time zone you celebrate it!

Sarah's Birthday Party

Sarah invited two girls over for her party Friday afternoon. School is finished at 1:00 of Fridays, so it a great day for a Birthday Party.

We decided on a Christmas theme party. So we decorated our Christmas Tree, made colored chocolate Christmas Trees and Snowman. They had a great time. Sarah even had a snowman cake from off the Kraft Canada web site. Was it ever easy! Chocolate pudding, cookies, and Whipped topping. Simple but tasted great.

He received lots of craft projects, and even a little newborn puppy that has to be petted to stay awake. She had a great time. Happy birthday Sarah, Your now 7.

Good Luck Daddy! Your going to need it!!!

We have now come home from Girls camp! Everything was just fine! We all had so much fun!
Here is a picture of all the girls who came to camp. Courtney is on the bottom row, third from the right. Sarah is fourth from the left, standing in front of the queen.

I turned five and had a ymuummy cake, it was good. I had lots of presents, I liked them all.

On Satuday I turned five. We decorated the house. We used streamers and made the shape of a castle house. With a roof and door. I had four friends over to decorate crowns, play some games, open birthday presents, and we ate cake. and ice cream. It tasted so good. it was a jewlery box with candy rocks, jewels, and silver balls that you can eat.

On Sunday grandma and grandpa moore came over and gave me some presents. We ate a banana and chocolate flavoured cake with whip cream and ice cream.

Food and Talents!

For a homeschooling unit, we studied Nutrition, Rest, exercise, and Fun. So, to complete our unit we invited another family over to share a meal and participate in a little talent show!

Courtney, and Nicole helped Mom put all the food we needed into two big pots, Carrots, Celery, tomatoes, Barley, Hamburger, Noodles etc. They made the best Hamburger Barley Soup! Then we made two loaves of Irish Soda Bread.

The Lowry Family arrived, and the 15 of us spread ourselves over 3 tables. Unfortunately I never counted spoons before they came, and we ended up using baby spoons. I guess we need to get a few more spoons before we do that again.!

After Dinner, we showed off our talents. We had several piano players, some jokes, stories, singing, tumbles, and even some crocheting. The girls even put on a short play about the "Two Billy Goats Gruff, and One Troll".

After the Lowry's left, the house felt so empty. It was a wonderful evening and a great way to learn and share our talents with one another.
