Its been a year!

Its almost been a year since I posted on this site.  I have been ill, and battled with anxiety and depression.  I am feeling 10 times better and have come a long way from all the ups and down I personally have had this past year.  My children and husband have been extremely supportive and had more patience then I ever deserved.  I then started school part time, and am currently working on the prerequisites to attend BYU Idaho online next year to begin my bachelors of business management.

Ken is working as a Sales manager at Canadian Security Systems.  He loves it, and does very well at it.  He has found his niche.  He just finished the trade show last week, so his pile of leads is a little overwhelming at the moment.

Sarah is part of the “Flapper” play this year at the school.  She is happy to be involved and is very excited to participate in the play again this year.  She is also enjoying her cosmetology class this year, and hopes to get into nails and things when she graduates this June.

Courtney is also involved heavily in the play this year as well.  She has been busy painting the backdrop and part of the set pieces.  She will also be helping setup and lights and sound again this year.  She loves her anime and still enjoying her art.

Nicole has her first official year in the play.  She also has a part, but chose to make an appearance, but not have a speaking part.  She wanted to give the play a chance.  Nicole enjoys greating playdough creatures, and has grown almost as tall as I am this year.

Kenneth has made a new year’s resolution to be called Kenneth this year instead of Kenny.  I guess he is growing up faster then I imagine sometimes.   He is involved in 11-year-old scouts, and also loves playing with the cousins that have moved into town.

Adrian is busy with cubs and recently finished his cub kar race.  He had a great time, and had the best skateboard looking cub bar ever!  He also enjoys his cousin time, and loves to playing football and basketball.

Shadows

#shadows
I went for a much needed walk today with a great friend.  But had to stop to take a picture of the shadows off the rocks.

It reminds me the Lord created everything and we are all important.  Even the smallest pebble is worthy of a shadow.

Just as the little choices and decisions we make today will cast shadows effecting ours and other lifes in worthy ways we can't even comprehend.

Something red

#somethingred
As i pondered this morning for something red that would remind me of the blessings I've been given, my eyes fell on these two gift sitting  together in my bedroom.
First is a gift of plants and flowers from my husband.  He bought these for me when I came out of the hospital and they sit where I  often see them and think of how sweet my husband is, and the beauty in the creations of the Lord.

The second one is a gift it received from a amazing friend.  It is a book with it's title in red font. "Sunshine for the Latter-day Saints Soul". It's book is full of short  stories of peace, love and courage.

I'm grateful daily for the little blessing in my life that makes big differences daily in my heart.

Junk drawer

#junkdrawer
AsI took a serious look at the junk drawer of my night stand I guess my drawer does show alittle about things that are  important to  me.  I've a collection of  essential oils, a few old digital cameras a sewing kit for quick  repairs, tide and febreze to go.

But also a well worn envelope always within reach.  My patriarchal blessing.  I've read this many many many times when in need of love, courage, guidance and hope.  This has been a  special blessing to me and is my treasure hidden within a junk drawer.

Hands

Hands

Today as I thought about hands and how I could depicte hands in the most meaningful way to me, l went to pinterest.  I found this beautiful painting of Christ's hand with his sheep.  I can see the mark of where a nail had pierced it.

It reminded me I am one of those sheep and he allowed suffering and even death just for me.  Like today, when things are hard and I just want it all to end, I'm reminded he suffered much much more then me, and he did it FOR ME personally,  for my hurt today and my hurt tomorrow and even my hurt from yesterday.

I'm grateful for his hands to remind me of his eternal unfathomable love just for me.

Looking up

"Looking up" is the word of the day.
I've loved the beauty of a willow tree in summer or winter.  It always look majestic and strongly rooted but willing to follow the will of the wind in whatever direction it may blow.

Raymond hospital

My true passion arrived.  What a surprise when i opened my eyes!

Raymond hospital

Today's word is "passion". And since my true passion for homemade chocolate chip cookies don't exist right now. ...i will  have to settle for the comfy cozy spot in the middle  of  the bed where the blankets are messyiest  but warmest. 😁

Raymond hospital

Today I thought about this little loney tree I could see from my window.  And when I looked up ...i found this little lonely tree was surrounded with friends, families, mentors and even little birds and bugs who need this tree too.

My husband came to cuddle with me for a while today.  I missed his hugs!

It snowed last night.  What a surprise.

Jane is practicing her driving skills

Took a little longer for Adrian to find Jane this morning.  He found her in the front entrance behind gate.   She even found some drivers for each of the cars.

Cleaning up or making a mess?

Kids made cookies last night leaving a big mess of flour on the table.  This morning Jane was found with a paint brush in a pile of flour.  The question is, she is helping to clean or making a bigger mess.
