Halloween is over, let the snow begin
Halloween was beautiful. Then came the snow.
This is what we woke up to this morning. At 7:00am Adrian came into our room to ask if he could go out and play in it! He was so excited. The boys have been out several times since then.
The dogs and the parents were not quite as excited.

2nd Day of Spring
Spring has come to us in the form of a snow storm. The weather has been beautiful and warm, this change in weather was almost expected. One last spring snow storm, I hope.
This new snow is beautiful white, wet and heavy. As nice as it looks, I don't expect it to stay long.

Snow, Snow and More Snow.
Mom came home from work to find Kenny in the driveway shoveling. He was worried she wouldn't be able to get the van in, so he decided to do something about it.
There was no snow yesterday, everything you see came down in the last 6 hours. More is expected tonight and tomorrow.
Kenny did a great job!

Two days before Halloween...

... and all through the house, every creature was stirring, (but not a mouse). The children were dressed all snug in their coats, snow pants, mittens, hats and scarves, as visions of snow forts, danced in their heads. As for Mama and Papa...
we stayed inside where it was warm,
not wanting to venture out in the storm.
We imagined a Halloween, crispy and cold,
And wished we could ... Rhyme..

Winter Wonderland

We are so excited, we might actually have a white Christmas!!! We have NEVER had a white Christmas here since we moved to Alberta. This is a picture of Early this month BEFORE a Chinook came in and melted most of it away. (A Chinook is a warm wind, that often melts all our snow away several times each winter.) It is a taken out our back door, across the deck looking at Ken's garage.
