It is really cold when....

Dad watched a YouTube video about taking boiling water outside, and throwing it up into the air and watching in form into powder. It only works when it is really cold outside.

At -26 today we thought we too would give it a try.

We boiled the kettle, had the kids get on hats, mittens, coats and boots, and gave each of them a mug.

They had so much fun making snow, we boiled the kettle a second time, so they could all try it some more.





Here is the steps if you want try it yourself.

Wait for -25C or lower
Boil the water in a kettle,
Take an empty mug outside, along with the kettle
pour the water into the mug
throw the water into the air
bring the camera to take pictures to prove it works

Kennys Big Crafting Project

Kenny is so excited. He has never been on to sit and do any sort of crafts or much coloring. But for Christmas he go his very own scissor craft book. One day he sat down and worked hard on all the crafts in his book and finished them. But today was the first day he sat down, designed, created, cut, pasted and colored his very own craft from his own ideas. We all were so excited to see the end result, we videoed his explanation so we could share it with everyone.
