Hells 1/2 Acre

We stopped in Idaho, at the lava fields.

It was very different then anything else we had seen. It is an area of volcanic rock, covered only by sage brush, a few bigger bushes, and some grass.

It is hot, and dessert like.

The only things that live here are insects, that feed the deer mice, that feed the rattlesnakes. It is uninhabitable to anything else.

We could see the wrinkles in the lava as it dried, and came up out of the earth, and bubbles in the rocks as it cooled.

It was an interesting place to visit, but I wouldn't stay there!

Idaho

As Julia and I drove through Idaho, we stopped to take pictures of several temples. We stopped and took pictures of the rexburg temple close to the BYU campus.

Then we visited the Idaho Falls temple. It was closed for summer cleaning, so we couldn't go inside. We did take pictures, and saw an amazing display at the visitors center. It was full of HUGE pictures from the Hubble space telescope, along with some technical information, and a scripture. It was gorgeous! I recognized a lot of the pictures, but there is something about seeing them framed in four feet tall frames!

It was beautiful, and spiritual! A wonderful way to start off the week

Montana

Mom and Nana Moore drove down to Utah last week.

She got back on Wednesday, and now wants to share her pictures.

the richest hill (Full of copper, and other metals that a mined)
