The Last of the Deck

We removed the deck earlier this spring, but left a few supports in the ground. They were buried in concrete. On Monday, Daddy decided it was a good day to tackle cleaning up the yard, and break out the supports.

Daddy used his sledge hammer to break up some of the concrete. Then the boys had turns with the smaller hammer to see if they could loosen the post for Daddy to pull out.

Mommy stopped mowing the lawn, to take pictures and help with the first one. We pulled and pulled.

After pulling forever (or so it felt like), Ken finally got out the pipe. It was huge. The height of Adrian had been completely buried in the ground. We were so amazed at its legth, that we snapped a picture to show the pipe we got out, and the height of the two pipes Dad still had to do.

Magrath Day Fireworks

We found a good place to sit against the fence, then leaned back to enjoy the show.

They had some new fireworks that amazed us, and everyone clapped and cheered.

Afterward s, to our disappointment, we went home without a bon fire. They choose not to do one this year, and everyone was talking about what a bad decision for town council that was! A bon fire is part of tradition.

Magrath Day Program

While the town is serving everyone a free beef on a fun, the1y put on a program for everyone to watch.

People sing, dress up, dance, or play to entertain us between eating, and the fireworks.

Everyone had tons of fun, sing, dancing, playing in the grass or just watching the show.
