First the Stove, and now the Blinds

Everything seems to be going at once. We have replaced the dryer, stove, kitchen chairs, DVD player, and even the van this year. It seems we also have to replace the blinds in the living room.

Mommy put up a sheet to cover the huge front window that looks into the entire living room, dining room, and if you get the right angle, you can even see into the bathroom!

During the day mommy puts the sheet up, and at night she pulls is down to cover the window.

Any great ideas as how to have privacy at night, on this ground floor window, and also have the sun shine through during the day would be great. Don't forget that it has to be child friendly, indestructible (we have 2 busy boys as well as girls) and still look nice against this dark paneled wall.

Mommy was wondering how expensive and time consuming she could complicate things if she asked daddy about redoing the paneling and putting up drywall. Just joking Daddy! Mommy knows you still have two loft beds to make, desks and shelves to build, as well as the boy's beds, baseboards, kick plates and crown molding to finish! You think you were never here! Oh, that right, your not! Love ya daddy!!!

New Stove comes with New Pots

Mommy's stove was not working right. It would not cook the food in the oven in the time it was supposed too, and only 3 elements worked on the top.

That's a big deal when making pancakes on 3 burners, and also trying to make syrup too, or when frying eggs for everyone in 3 pans, and cooking bacon, or when... you get the point. Mommy multitasks to get the meals done faster rather then waiting for one at a time, and everyone wanting 2nds and 3rds! Mom would never get to eat, and breakfast would take hours to make!

Anyway.... the new stove arrived yesterday night while we were sleeping.

It has a flat top, and mommy is excited about how easy it will be to keep clean that way.

We are excited for a different reason. It came with brand new, stainless steel, super heavy, and really shiny pots and pans. We love the feel of them, the smooth and bumpy textures, and how heavy they are. We also love how they can stack, and unstack, and what great sounds they make.

This is almost better then Christmas! Not really, but they still are really cool!

Is Mommy actually Sewing??

Mommy doesn't sew. She pretends. The sewing pile grows until it takes over the entire corner of her bedroom, then maybe she will bring out the machine and do some repairs. maybe once a year.

She does have good ideas for things she wants to sewing, and will sometimes but fabric, but never get around to doing any thing with it

Home sew things in our house, are something special. But Mommy was at the machine this weekend.

The new beds we are building (still building) are in need of curtains. So Mommy actually pulled out the machine, and tried her hand at it. They won't be perfect, and at this point, they are not even finished, but one day there will be curtains on a bed, that will be finished.

Pictures will come when they are finally done!!
