Nicole is Going Fishing

Nicole had her turn going fishing Friday night with Gramps and Nana Shortt. She fished further down the path, then the others, but still managed to catch two Pike!

Great Job Nicole!

Daddy took Kenny, Nicole and Courtney to Writing on Stone.
Nana Shortt, Gramps, and Uncle Andew went in a separate car.

The park is a protected habitat for Prairie Rattlesnakes, so Mommy decided she was not going again. Once was enough for her.

There are sections of the park with carvings. This one shows a battle that took place here.

The carvings are neat to see, but it is the land that is more interesting.

Look at those Hoodoo's! The land is eroded from the wind, and the flat earth is left on the top of some of the formations. Most are extremely tall, and when down in them if feels like your visiting another planet.

Uncle Wayne Surprises Us

Daddy's Uncle Wayne from Ontario called this afternoon, and said he was in Magrath for a visit.

He was invited in with welcome arms, and spent most of the afternoon with Mommy, Adrian and Sarah. (Daddy was a writing on Stone with the other kids)

Adrian took to him, and loved to sit on the couch with him and look at books. It was a great visit, and we were happy that he made an effort to come see us while in Alberta!
