Moving in

Aunt Janay and Uncle James are moving to a new house. We arrived on time to help move the piano to the new house.

It is only Magrath, so their friend sat in the back on the truck and held, or played the piano the few blocks to their new house.

They are now in our ward. This means that they get to go to church with us now! We are excited!

Airport in Thunder Bay

We were privileged to be given a tour of the airplane that Mr Robertson flew that day. We were lead into the hanger, and climbed aboard.
The kids all took turns sitting in the pilots seats.

Afterwords, Mommy spent the whole next day asking Mr. Robertson a million questions about flight. How the instruments were used, what made them work, and how to handle emergencies. She asked him to translate the words used to communicate with the control tower.

The next day, Mommy was taken onto the tarmac sat in the pilots seats and was given a personal tour of the airplane before he was taking off. It was amazing. She was so excited. She even sat in as he filed his flight plan, and planned fuel filling and passenger and cargo placement.

Her head was swimming with information, and she was grateful that he took that time with her to answer all her questions. It was an amazing experience.

Kettle Point

We were invited to Uncle Shawn and Alicia's cottage at Kettle Point.

We learned that Kettles were large perfectly round rocks, and are found along the coast on Lake Huron. They are buried in layers on slate.

Here is a few pictures of the kids sitting on some. they are even seen sticking up from the water.

The puzzle is how they are formed. One kettle was split open, and we could see circular rings of colour, and lines that go from the outside into the center. It is amazing, and something we want to learn more about.

Science North

We spent the night camping in Sudbury, and arrived at Science North early the next morning after packing up our camp site.

Look Mom, we are on top of the world!

The kids had fun building things and racing cars made out of Knex,

seeing real butterflies (some kids like that more then others),

touching a snapping turtle,

and watching a fire show. It was a great day, and we had tones of fun. After we got in the car and drove to Thunder Bay.
