Daddy went on a Search
Daddy is a member of the Lethbridge Area Search and Rescue. It is group that is completely volunteers, that are trained to search and rescue people who are lost, or search for evidence in an specific area.
He has searched for lost person in a snowstorm, looked for someone who disappeared from the Lethbridge University, a knife from a stabbing, and person that disappeared from her home.
Yesterday he went on a search for a person that disappeared 7 years ago. Someone had stumbled on a old camp that had ID from this person, and hunting guns registered to this person. Basically Lethbridge, and Pincher Creek Search and Recuse were working with the police to find anything that was not supposed to be in the wilderness (camping foamy, bear spray, or any bones that were not animal).
Daddy came home very tired, and had walked many kilometers through very dense brush, up the ridge, and back down, several times. They are not allowed to discuss much, but it was a very old camp site, and is some areas had several inches of debris (dead leaves, pine needles) covering the area.
Dad came home tired, but happy to be using his skills!

Nicole's Horse Riding Lessons
Daddy drove her into lethbridge, and stayed to take lots of pictures.
She learned what to feed a horse,
how to roll barrels out to use for grooming the horses, and learned about the different kinds of combs needed to groom the horse.
Nicole and Desanna Holthe, from around the corner, took turns leading the horse. Next week they will leaxarn to ride.

Adventures at our House
We have been busy the past week or so. We have been homeschooling, and adapting to our new schedule.
Daddy is still in Calgary all week. He leaves Tuesday around 11:00Am and is home sometime Friday night. He is working nights (because the kids are in school now) and loves it. He gets to sleep in and stay up late! What can be better! Rumor says that only one month left then the job will be completely finished.
Sarah is completely homeshooled this year. She is doing well, and is excited to join a 4H club in lethbridge that works with dogs. (Sarah's passion!) She is reading all the time, and loves to take care of her digital tamaigotchi.
Courtney is also homeschooling. She loves cooking, and rocks. She will be going to a art group, and a language group, as part of homeschooling. She is always full of ideas, and loves the chance to sit down and chat with Mom or Dad for hours if she could.
Nicole is starting Horse riding today. She loves horses, and today we will learn if that is horses only in books, and far fields, or up close and personal. She has her own new boots for riding, and is counting down the hours to her lesson.
Kenny is growing. He loves to play and wrestle with his brother, and loves to help in the kitchen. He is starting to learn a few of his letters, but mommy is not pushing him. He will learn when he is ready.
Adrain is also getting big. He loves hugs, and cuddles. He is talking in full sentances, and is comunicating very well. He has a wonderful imagination, and often plays with the girls. Sometimes it is cars, othertimes it is cats and dogs.
Mommy has spent the last two days in bed. She went to the hospital to get fixed, or broken depending on how you look at it. Her tummy is very sore, and she is always asking us to bring her pillows, water, or let the dog in from outside. She is so glad that she has so much help and that Daddy is home until Tuesday.
Hopefully daddy will remember the camera and will take pictures of the horse riding lesson today, but we will let you know how her lesson went

New curtians
Aunt Janay went with Mommy to go buy some curtains, or some fabric to make some curtains.
Mommy fell in love with these! Aunt Janay spent hours sewing hems while mommy picked out the existing hems. Daddy and Uncle James installed the copper tube (painted black).
They are hard to see in the picture at night, but the sheers are on the outside, and are a striped green, orange and brown. Same as the house painting, and there is brown solid curtains behind.
We did this so we can have sheers, and see out, but also have privacy, or take the glare off the TV by closing the back curtains.

First the Stove, and now the Blinds
Mommy put up a sheet to cover the huge front window that looks into the entire living room, dining room, and if you get the right angle, you can even see into the bathroom!
Any great ideas as how to have privacy at night, on this ground floor window, and also have the sun shine through during the day would be great. Don't forget that it has to be child friendly, indestructible (we have 2 busy boys as well as girls) and still look nice against this dark paneled wall.
Mommy was wondering how expensive and time consuming she could complicate things if she asked daddy about redoing the paneling and putting up drywall. Just joking Daddy! Mommy knows you still have two loft beds to make, desks and shelves to build, as well as the boy's beds, baseboards, kick plates and crown molding to finish! You think you were never here! Oh, that right, your not! Love ya daddy!!!

New Stove comes with New Pots
It has a flat top, and mommy is excited about how easy it will be to keep clean that way.
This is almost better then Christmas! Not really, but they still are really cool!

Is Mommy actually Sewing??
Mommy doesn't sew. She pretends. The sewing pile grows until it takes over the entire corner of her bedroom, then maybe she will bring out the machine and do some repairs. maybe once a year.
She does have good ideas for things she wants to sewing, and will sometimes but fabric, but never get around to doing any thing with it
Home sew things in our house, are something special. But Mommy was at the machine this weekend.
The new beds we are building (still building) are in need of curtains. So Mommy actually pulled out the machine, and tried her hand at it. They won't be perfect, and at this point, they are not even finished, but one day there will be curtains on a bed, that will be finished.
Pictures will come when they are finally done!!
