Green thumb... sometimes!

I'm so excited, I actually have grown something... and it is not dead.. Yet!

This is a picture of a maple tree that I am growing in my kitchen window. While we were in Ontario in April, we found little sprouted trees growing in Nanny and Poppy's backyard. We picked about 7 of them, packed them carefully, and brought them home. We planted them and this is the only one that survived. I hope that it will get big enough to one day plant outside.

The next picture is an aloe plant that Janey gave me. She claims that they grow like weeds, and you can't kill them, but she never saw the last one I managed to kill (over watered I think) If you look close you can see new little sprouts coming up. Wow, we have never seen this before and are really excited!

Next is a plant given to me for mothers day from the church. I put it in a plant hanging thing, that Sarah and Nana Shortt made. It has grown quite big, and I've not yet killed it.

Then here is a picture of my Christmas cactus. I have managed to grow this several years now, and even have it bloom around Christmas. I like this one.

Last is a picture of the normal view of pots around my house. Dead, empty pots. I think this is a maple tree, or it could be a forget-me-not, or a garlic bulb, or maybe it was some other plant i tried. Whatever it is, My green thumb, is not always green
