Hi, I'm Sarah. This is a story I wrote for Homeschooling.
Its the Magrath pet show!
I saw a black poodle on a shelf.
Courtney saw a cow with a balloon.
Nicole saw a cat. The cats name was Joe.
Kenny grabbed a big balloon. And it popped!
My favorite one was the poodle.
The animals names were Joe, Spotty, and Sparkle.
The winner was Sparkle.
What an exciting day I had!
Not bad for 6 years old!! Keep up the great work Sarah!

Taking a Day Trip!

We decided to take a trip up Calgary (2 1/2 hour drive) and see some site along the way. We planned to stop in Nanton (45 minutes from Calgary) and visit the train museum, and the Lancaster Bomb museum. We also hoped to get up the "Lee Valley" and possibly "Regal" while in Calgary.
We had thing to do, kids to pack into the van, and tools to unload, so we didn't get out of Magrath until noon. We hit Lethbridge, and Mommy decided to stop at the used book store first. Daddy decided we also had to drive thru some burgers. 1:30pm, we are finally leaving Lethbridge.
Along the way we saw huge trains, we couldn't see the end of. We even saw a "self" weigh scale. We thought about stopping to see how much the van weighed, but we had already passed it! We could see the mountains most of the trip, and the white snow on them. We saw lots of farms, prairies, windmills, and animals.
We arrived in Nanton, and went right to the train place first. It was a large 7000 sq Ft outdoor working size G Trains and Models. It was supposed to be a great thing to see. But they were closed for the season and hoped to open in June. So we missed the Trains!
We then drove the one block over to the Lancaster Air Museum. It was great! The girls got to see many small models of planes. We talked about the markings on the planes, and what the purpose of having circles, or "X" on the plane was for. We got to touch a giant airplane wheel, and see that it was much bigger then they were. We even walked around a hanger and saw many gun turrets, and many different types of planes. Some had different types of engines, or different tails, or wings. Sarah's favorite was the bi planes (two wings, above one another). We even show them what bombs looked like, and what happened when they were dropped. We were able to al put on a hard hat, and walk inside a Lancaster Bomber!
We had to talk about why there was war, and how important it was to make sure people are free to choose what they believe in, what they want to do, and what they will be when they grow up. They were amazed to learn that there is some places in the world like that today.
We decided a quick trip to the park was a great way to end this adventure. Then we decided to head our way home, instead of Calgary. We arrived home at 8:30pm. Twilight!
We had a wonderful day!!!

Easter!

We were excited to receive a visit from the Alberta Easter Bunny again this year. He came Saturday morning. He brought chocolate for all of us, and even gifts from the Ontario Easter Bunny (Did you know they were provincial?)
He brought a backpack and bike lock for Sarah, a bag, beads, and activity book for Courtney, Dora backpack, rings, stick on earings and hair cips for Nicole, and a cute outfit for Kenny with dress shirt and tie. He even brought socks for Daddy, and a puzzle book for Mommy.
He even hid eggs all over the living room for the kids to find! They had so much fun!
Sunday some os us went to church, then headed over to Nana, and Grandpa Moore's house for dinner. It was great! The easter bunny even left stuff at their house too!
Everyone had a great easter! We hope all of you did too!!!

Sick Nicole
Nicole has come down with a ear infection this week. She was extremely hot, and very lethargic. She didn't want to move at all. She just drifted in and out of sleep, woke up long enough to drink ask for a movie to be put in the VCR, then would drift off again. She wouldn't even crack a smile. She slept on the couch, for most of the day, then we walked to the dotors office. (1 1/2 blocks away)
After visiting the doctor and receiving some "bubble gum" flavored medicine. No matter how hard Mmommy tried, Nicole did not like it and would spit it out all over! ahhh!!!
We then hit the homeopathic books, and she is currently taking a natural remedy. Within the first 20 minutes, she was up, laughing and playing with us, and is on the mend!! Glad to see this girl smiling again!!
