Dinner and Program

As traditional magrath day comes to the evening, we set up chairs are prepared to listen to the entertainment, or play on the playground close by, after eating the beef on a bun the town gives out to everyone that attends.

Mom helped serve out the beef and buns this year, so daddy helped us get our food, water and find our seats. The town served out 160 doz, and ran out! Need even more next year!

Martin Kerr (Canadian Idol top 16) came to play and sing for us as well as a lot of local talent.

90 minutes of quiet time

After returning home, we had 90 minutes of quiet time before heading into the festivities again.  Some of us slept, while other read, and others played outside in the shade of the trees

BBQ

After everyone finished eating, Mommy laid down and slept right on the deck.  She was exhausted from all the running she had done, organizing the floats, dignitaries, marching bands, and horses in the parade.  Some of us went in and enjoyed the water some more.

After cooling off,we all dove into the food.  Grandpa had just finished extending the deck, and we all enjoyed the shade as we sat out and ate all we could.

Slippery Break

It was so hot out, that after the parade, we went to Nana Moore and Grandpas for a BBQ and cool off in the water. We slipped, slid, and had so much fun. Kenny didn't go in it, but Anutie Mandy did get thrown in.... we have video proof.

Magrath Days Breakfast and Parade

Auntie Mandy treated us to the Lion Club Breakfast on Saturday Morning. She came by at 7:00am, ready to take us out. Magrath Days started REALLY early for us!

After breakfast, she came a hung out with us a bit before it was time to head out to the parade.

The Parade was lining up at 10:00am. As Mommy was the one lining up all the floats, and horses for the parade, she didn't stop to take any pictures of us in Grandpa Moore and Nana Moores float. (Canadian Security Systems). The float did win first prize for best decorated vehicle.

(Hopefully someone who took pictures can email us some, and then we will post them)

As we were not able to catch any of the candy thrown, Nana prepared yummy treat bags with a mix of sugary and healthy treats!

We had fun!

Playing at the Pancake Breakfast

We walked the single block to the ATB Bank for our Friday morning free pancake breakfast. It was the first breakfast we have ever had rainned out! It was good, and the Daddy and some of the kids played in the rain, while others stood in line waiting for face painting.

Last picture

This is the last picture taken with our old camera. For a long time now, our pictures all have a red streak through the middle of every picture we take. So here it is! A picture one of the kids took, of our apple tree.

Mom received her long awaited chq from Google ads, and she got her new camera.... look out world, here she comes!

Adrian Birthday

Somehow time managed to slip away so fast, that I forgot to post Adrians 4th birthday pics!

Here is the birthday boy with his cake, and as any typical 4 year old would do... he uses his handy shirt to clean his face! Look you really are a big boy now!

Houses on the hills and mountains

As we travelled, it was noticed that most of the houses sat up on the hills and mountains. This left the flat valleys for farming. Very interesting to see it happen so naturally, and people use the space the best way they could.
