Promised Pics.....

Adrian is helping with the corn, by playing with it by removing it from the buckets. But he is happy, and content, so there is no complaining.
Sarah, Courtney, and Nicole work hard at emptying the cooler, and a large basket of corn one at a time. This filled several garbage bags, and did and great job of keeping Mom busy boiling and cutting the corn off the cobs for freezing.
Daddy had help snapping the ends off the beans, then he would cut them up, so Mommy could also boil, and freeze them.
Nicole worked hard at placing carrots that Mommy cut up onto trays to dehydrate for soups, and sauces this winter. Courtney is helping Daddy with snapping the beans. us girls would change from job to job as we got board, but Mommy and Daddy said that was fine as long as we were working! You can see the strawberries we have to do next.
Kenny helped put the corn in the buckets after we husked it. He was a good "put it in"-er.

School starting soon!

August 29th comes quick, and the girls (not the boys yet) are getting ready to start the new school year. Sarah will be attending Magrath Elementary 1/2 days, us, (the other two girls) will be full time home schooling kids. Mommy bought a few new supplies, new pencils, crayons, paper, pencil crayons, book , glue and scissors.

We are so excited to start, and have already done a few days of lessons!

We are also helping mom dehydrate carrots, freeze corn, beans and strawberries, and make jam. This is a busy year for vegetables, but we are big enough to help pick, and put them in the jars, or bags.

Mommy and Sister Barton (Colleen) completed their very first Triathlon today.

It was in Fort Macleod, so it was about a 45 minute drive away. And is was a very very hot.

Mommy and Sister Barton started the race, with a 500 meter swim.

They then changed and grabbed their bikes and went out for a 15 km bike ride, up some really long hills.

After that, they again came back and headed out again for a 5 km run.

It was a long wait, and a very hot day, so we ate a picnic lunch, and played with our friends in the Barton family till they finished.

Every time we saw them we cheered and waved!

Mom says we were a wonderful cheering section.

Mommy and Sister Barton finished the race 103/104 out of 106 people. They were not last. The important part is that they tried their best.
