Playing ar the Creek

Our van is broken, so we walked down to the creek. It was a very long walk, down to the creek, along the whole trail, and back again.

Daddy gave Kenny a ride on the way home... it was pretty far!

The view was beautiful, and it was great weather. The girls were afraid of bug bites, and wore there jackets, but we never saw one, and Mommy was glad she didn't wear hers, because it was tooooo hot!

We all took water, and sometimes rested at the benches along the trail.

Missy came with us too. She rolled really gross stuff, so the swim in the creek washed it all away and made her clean again!

She is a good swimmer, but didn't know how to fetch and bring back a stick. But she did have lots of fun swimming and playing. Every chance she could, she was back in the water.

We brought a friend of Mommies, and her dog too. They had tons of fun playing together!!

The dam over the creek is a beautiful spot. I've heard its a good place to fish from too!!

New Home Businesses

Dad is no longer working for Canadian Security Systems. He is not needed there any more.

Our Family has decided to try and have two home businesses instead. As a family we will be working on filling candy machines with candy,as well as emptying, counting and rolling the quarters. We are so excited, and can't wait until our van is fixed (the transmission broke) we can go out and start emptying our machines.

Daddy is also starting a welding company with the assistance of EI (unemployment). There is a program that give people money to help start a business, so that what he is doing.
But he can't carry a big welder in the van, so he bought a big truck.

He said it was really cheap and he is very excited to finally have a truck to fix up and play with.

he took these pictures at night, hope you can see it.. Its really OLD! Daddy says its 10 years older then Sarah!!

After a long time, we have finally received part of a diagnoses for Sarah.

She has Asperger's Disorder, and possibly Non-Verbal Learning Disability. We still have more testing to do to see if Non-Verbal is part of this, so that we can help her in the best ways possible.

I have provided a link for anyone who wishes to do more reading. I am still trying to learn what this all is about, and what we do about it next.

If you have any questions, ask, I will answer what I can, but truthfully I am still learning too.

Heading to Ontario

After receiving a phone call from Nanny Lynch, we decided to pack up and head to Ontario.

We were packed up and out of Magrath within 2 hours!

It took as 46 hours to drive straight through. Mommy and Daddy took turns driving, and we only pulled over for gas, bathroom breaks, and the occasional stretch.

We just missed a bad winter storm that had hit Northern Ontario, two days before, and had just opened the roads the day we drove through.

Butterflys

As a special trip, Nana took us to the Butterfly Conservatory.

The view was beautiful for Mommy and Nana, but unfortunately, the rest of us thought that the launching butterflies were too stressful, and caused load shrieks, yells, screams, and tears until we left.

One butterfly landed on Nicoles back, and she curled into a ball in fear, until it was gently lifted from her back.

Dead bugs, spiders, and insects in glass cases seemed to be the highlight. Safer, hidden behind glass.

Some of these pictures the kids took!!!

Cold treats!

First Popsicle for Adrian was quite an ordeal!

But he keeps coming back from more!

Everyone loves cool treats!!! Thanks Marilyn!

Alberta Views!

There is no place like home!!

We enjoyed Ontario, but we love the view of Alberta BEST! Hope you can share our love for the Prairies!

Playing around in Ontario

We all had a wonderful time! Adrian started trying to stand alone, and would balance for several seconds on his own.

Courtney bought a streamer, good for dancing at the dollar store, and enjoyed a warm sunny afternoon playing outside with it.

While Courtney danced, Sarah took the chance to enjoy the fresh clear sidewalk to color and experiment with chalk colors.

Our family was invited out to dinner at my brothers house. The kids had a wonderful time playing dress up. Here is Kenny as a cow, and Courtney as a clown!

On that same sunny day, Nicole and Kenny also enjoyed the chalk, and bug net from the dollar store. The two of them get along so well together!

At Nana Shortts house she has a large toy box full of musical instruments, The children put of a musical concert to show off their talents and love of music.

Kenny in rhythm, Sarah on the recorder, Courtney the xylophone, and Nicole uses a paper roll for a microphone.

After, they all take turns doing a solo. Nicole sings and shows her naturally ability to show off well for the camera and the audience.

Adrian decided he also wants a closer look at this unsual toy with so many colors, and loud noises, to bad he can't quite figure it out right now, give him a few months, and I am sure he will be as loud and crazy as the rest of the kids!

Nicole is dressed up in a fairy costume she got for Easter. It includes, the wings, and the little crown on her head. Of course, all fairy's have a wand to change people into princes, frogs or whatever takes her fancy.

Sarah looks into the mirror, and poses for a picture, She likes the double image, and any excuse to show off her fairy outfit too!

We have had so much fun!
