Courtneys Turn at Pumpkins!

Courtney wanted a Boo Pumpkin too! She worked hard to carve out the giant pumpkin that she won at the family dance.

Auntie Mandy helped with all stages of the carving process, but Courtney did her fair share as well.

Scary looking pumpkin! Hopefully the Trick or treaters will still come!!

Mom's Pumpkin

One pumpkin was supposed to be Nicoles, but she missed her oppertunity. So Mommy decided to cut hers.
This is a hulless pumpkin. The seeds are green, almost black and have no hulls on them. much better for eating! The insides were much thicker and meating, and was even easier to seperate the seeds then the other pumpkins.

We have saved a few seeds and are hopeing to grow some in out own garden next year!

Mandys Creations!

With all the helping Auntie Mandy somehow managed to finish two of her own pumpkins.

Isn't she creative!

Sarahs Pumpkin Carving

Sarah wanted to make ghost pumpkin. She worked har d to pull all her seeds out. Her face shows what she thought about the slimy insides. But not one word of complain came out of her mouth. She was determined to do this pumpkin herself.

She used a Pampered Chef Safety knife to carve her own pumpkin. She was so excited. There was one point she didn't know what to do, and asked her aunt for help, then she went off again, to do her fist pumpkin all by herself!

Great job!

Kenny's First Pumpkin Expereince

Auntie Mandy brought over two of her pumpkins, and came to help the girls carve out thier pumpkins.

Kenny is not really sure about this new expereince. He is working with Mandy to take all the seeds out of her pumpkin. He wasn't really sure he wanted to touch all that stickly slimy stuff, but he did finally get his hands into it and helped a little.

Happy growing Boy!

Adrian is growing and getting bigger. He is now three months old.

He has a big brother that loves him and wants to teach him everything.

Right now Kenny is showing adrian how to sign Apple. I'm not sure Adrian really is that interested, but it was sure cute to see Kenny try and teach him something!

Adrian is smiling and laughing.
Enjoying his brother, and playing with his daddy!

How fun a new brother is!!

Making Relish!

We all worked together to make relish. Kenny used a safety knife and tried to cut the green pepper!
Sarah used a real knife, and chopped the vegtables small enough for the food chopper.
Courtney used the food chopper to cut the vegtables small enough for the relish.
Even Nicole used her Safety knife to try and cut the cucumber. We all worked hard as a family and made about 2 cases of relish. It was a lot of work, but well worth it.

The family that works together, has twice as much fun doing it!

Happy 2nd Birthday

Kenny turned two September 2nd. The day after the wedding.

He had everyone there to share his day.

Great Grandmas, Nana's, Gramps, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunts, Sisters, Mommy, Daddy and one brother!

He openned presents, and ate chocolate cake.

He loved all the attention, and knew what to do with the presents. Gramps, would give him a hand if he needed it.

He had a great birthday!

Wedding Photos

Uncle James, and our Now Aunt Janay, were happy married September 1, 2006 at the Cardston Alberta Temple. They were a beautiful couple!

Mommy was able to go into the temple to see the service, with Nana Shortt, Gramps, Nana Moore, and Grandpa Moore. Many of her brothers and sisters, as well as her parents were in attendance.

Everyone else had to wait outside or just inside the temple doors until the service was done to great the happy couple.

She was a beautiful bride.

After many pictures, and a horse and buggy ride through cardston, they made their way back to magrath for a drop in reception.

Here almost the entire town is invited, and we guessed at about 250 prople that came throught the reception line, and stayed for some food.

After the line was down (about 2 hours), they cut the cake, exchanged rings, listened to a song deticated to them, and threw the flowers and garter. They then openned all their presents, packed up, and headed home for the night.

It will be a day everyone will remember for a long time.

Congrats!

Family Party

We had some family arrived a few days before the wedding.

The day before the wedding on August 31, we had about 40 people for the family dinner. We all piled into the white church. we rented a giant BBQ from the town, and cooked food for everyone.

Kenny sits beside Auntie Mandy and Daddy, enjoying his cake.

Great Grandma Spiers, and Great Grandma Moore were both here from Ontario for the special event.

Grandma Moore enjoys Magrath, and the family here, that she has decided to make Magrath a permanant home. We are all happy to have more family decide to live out here!

Uncle Shawn flew in for a week and also had a chance to visit Magrath. It was great to see him again, and we all miss him.

Uncle Andrew, Nana Shortt, and Gramps also flew in for the wedding from Ontario. It was a quick trip for them. And we also were sad to see them leave.
